Editorial
Editorial has always been at the heart of Holiday Club Studios.
We believe that access to the creative industry begins with access to information. The knowledge that shapes creative careers is too often shared behind closed doors, through personal networks or by chance. Our editorial work exists to make that knowledge visible, helping creatives better understand the industry they're entering and the opportunities within it.
Across our bestselling Substack and annual print magazine, we explore the people, ideas and careers shaping contemporary creativity while creating opportunities for the next generation of talent to contribute to the conversation.
Magazine
Our annual magazine explores the ideas, questions and cultural conversations shaping the next generation of creative talent.
Every edition is produced in collaboration with Holiday Club alumni, allowing emerging photographers, writers, stylists, designers and creatives to work on a professional publication from concept through to publication. More than a magazine, it is a platform for new voices and a practical way of supporting the next generation with meaningful editorial experience.
As Dazed described it:
"Holiday Club zine blows the gates of fashion open for a new gen of talent."
Each issue is built around a central theme, inviting leading creative voices to reflect on their own experiences while creating space for emerging talent to contribute to the conversation.
Previous editions have explored the many responsibilities creatives balance beyond their practice, the origins of creative careers, and Built From Belief—an issue examining the resilience, conviction and belief systems that sustain creative ambition.
The magazine has featured contributions from some of the industry's most influential cultural figures, including Samuel Ross, Amelia Dimoldenberg, IB Kamara, Sasha Keable, Charaf Tajer and Saul Nash, alongside the work of Holiday Club alumni who are helping shape the future of the creative industries.
Together, our editorial work reflects what Holiday Club has always set out to do: create a more transparent, informed and connected creative industry by sharing the conversations, knowledge and opportunities that help people build meaningful creative careers.
Substack
Holiday Club's Substack has become one of the UK's fastest-growing editorial platforms for creative careers, achieving Bestseller status and reaching #17 in Substack's Culture Rising chart.
Every week we publish thoughtful analysis of roles across fashion, design, media, communications and culture. Rather than simply sharing job listings, we explain why a role matters, who it is suited to, what candidates should be thinking about before applying and what the opportunity says about the wider direction of the creative industry.
Alongside careers, we publish reflections on the realities of building a creative life—from navigating freelance work and interviews to conversations around confidence, access, ambition and the changing creative landscape. It has become a place where our community can find practical guidance alongside honest discussion about what it really means to build a career in the creative industries.
